These Terms & Conditions apply to all sealing services provided by Nu-Seal, delivered through the Nu-Cover platform. They outline your rights, responsibilities, and what to expect when your stone surfaces are sealed by our team.
1. What We Do – Scope of Service

Nu-Seal offers professional-grade sealing services for natural and engineered stone surfaces.

We select and apply the most appropriate sealer for your specific stone type, using high-performance products from our approved supplier list.

Our sealing service helps reduce staining and moisture absorption but does not make stone impervious to all forms of damage.
2. What’s Covered – Our Workmanship Guarantee

Every Nu-Seal service is backed by a 3-Year Workmanship Guarantee.

If an issue arises due to how the sealer was applied by our technicians, we will return and remedy the affected area at no cost to you.
This guarantee does not cover:

Damage caused by third parties (e.g. tradespeople, installers)
-
Use of acidic, citrus-based, or abrasive chemicals
-
Physical damage such as chips or cracks
-
Substrate or structural installation issues
3. Sealer Product Warranties

Each sealer used carries its own manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by product and stone type.

Where appropriate, Nu-Seal will register this warranty on your behalf with the manufacturer.

Nu-Seal does not replace or override the manufacturer’s warranty — we provide cover for workmanship only.
4. What You Need to Do – Customer Responsibilities
To support the effectiveness of your sealing service and maintain warranty coverage:

Follow Nu-Seal’s care and maintenance guidance

Avoid acidic, citrus-based, or abrasive cleaners unless approved
-
Protect the stone from harsh impacts, dragging objects, or long-term chemical exposure
-
Notify us promptly if any damage or discolouration appears
5. Recommended Cleaners
While not required to maintain your workmanship guarantee, we strongly recommend using stone-safe, pH-neutral cleaners.
Nu-Seal has tested and approved a range of cleaning products that:

Help maintain the effectiveness of the sealer

Reduce the risk of damage from harsh chemicals

Enhance the long-term appearance of your stone
These products are available via the Nu-Cover Shop or from trusted retailers. Contact us if you need product guidance.
6. Important Limitations

Sealing does not prevent etching, especially on marble or soft stones exposed to acidic substances

Some sealers may slightly darken or enhance the stone’s natural colour and grain
-
Outdoor or UV-exposed areas may weather differently over time, even when sealed
7. Making a Claim
All Nu-Seal jobs are recorded and managed through the Nu-Cover platform.
To lodge a claim under your workmanship guarantee:

Log in to your Nu-Cover portal using the credentials provided after service

Find your sealed surface record and submit a service request, including details and photos
-
We may arrange a site inspection before confirming any remedial work
Claims must be submitted within 3 years of the sealing date.
Claims made outside this period may not be accepted.

8. Your Legal Rights – Liability & Consumer Guarantees

Where permitted under Australian Consumer Law, Nu-Seal limits its liability to:

Reapplying the sealer, or
-
Refunding the amount paid — at our discretion

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as business interruption or unrelated property damage

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law
