Nu-Guard™ Stone Protection Policy
1. Introduction
This Policy sets out the terms of coverage provided by Nu Life Stone Care Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for Nu-Guard™, our premium surface protection system for natural stone. Nu-Guard™ is professionally applied to protect stone surfaces against acid etching, staining, and household chemical damage.
By purchasing Nu-Guard™, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Coverage
When applied by an authorised Nu Life Stone Care technician, Nu-Guard™ is warranted for a period of 10 years from the date of application. During this period, the treated surface is covered against:

Acid etching caused by household substances (e.g. citrus, vinegar, wine, coffee, sauces).

Staining from food, oils, and beverages.

Chemical damage caused by everyday household cleaners, provided the surface has not been mechanically altered.
If covered damage occurs and cannot be remedied by normal cleaning, we will, at our discretion:

Professionally clean, repair, or re-apply Nu-Guard™ to the affected area.

Cover the labour and materials required to carry out the above.
3. Exclusions
This Policy does not cover:

Delamination or failure caused by excess or trapped moisture within the stone or substrate.

Structural damage including impact, scratches, chips, cracks, or thermal shock.

Surfaces that have been mechanically altered (cut, ground, polished) after Nu-Guard™ application.

Natural stone variations such as veining, porosity, or colour change that are part of the stone’s inherent characteristics.

Visual changes: in some instances, Nu-Guard™ may slightly darken or enhance the natural colour and tone of the stone. This is not considered a defect and is excluded from warranty claims.

Removal requests: this warranty covers re-application of Nu-Guard™ to restore protection in the event of failure. Full removal of Nu-Guard™ and restoration of the stone to its untreated or original polished state is not included. If requested, this service will be quoted separately at the customer’s cost.

Damage resulting from abuse, neglect, or improper installation of the underlying stone.
4. Customer Obligations
To maintain this warranty, customers must:

Retain proof of purchase and warranty registration.

Provide reasonable access for inspection and repair if a claim is made.

Follow standard stone care practices. Customers may use their preferred cleaning products; however, we recommend stone-safe cleaners supplied by Nu Life Stone Care for best results.
5. Limitations of Liability

Our liability is limited strictly to repair or re-application of Nu-Guard™ as outlined in Section 2.

We do not guarantee that repairs will render damage completely invisible.

We are not liable for consequential or indirect loss, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or replacement costs.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and property where Nu-Guard™ was applied.
7. Claims Process
To lodge a claim, customers must provide:

Proof of purchase and this warranty registration.

Photographs and a description of the affected area.

Reasonable access for inspection and repair.

8. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and is subject to the jurisdiction of Australian consumer protection legislation.
